Phlebotomy technicians perform a variety of duties such as
drawing blood from a patient's finger, heel, or vein, processing of specimens, and
clerical duties, on a variety of patients. Working environments can include private
office, large laboratories, hospitals, and blood banks.

A written examination and practical (hands-on) externship are required to become a licensed
