Our training environment will challenge and energize you. You’ll gain hands-on experience in a real, working salon. We limit class size to 16 so that we can meet all our students’ unique needs and provide one-on-one attention in a fun learning environment. We think that is why our graduates are so successful in passing the California State Board Exam and finding good jobs.

Based on the number of Cosmetology program graduates in the 2013-2014 award year (7/1/2013 – 6/30/2014) who registered for graduate placement services and secured employment in their field of study, and those who did not register and successfully obtained employment on their own.

A written and practical (hands-on) examination is required to become a licensed cosmetologist in California.

Licensure Pass Rate: 91.3%

(Based on Cosmetology program graduates in the 2013-2014 award year (7/1/2013 – 6/30/2014) who obtained their cosmetology licenses through the State of California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology. Review MTI’s exam pass rates and compare our results to other schools by reviewing the results posted by the California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology.
