About MTI College

MTI College is a community-based institution serving Sacramento since 1965. Its mission is to prepare students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence necessary for pursuing successful careers in the fields of information technology, law, business, health care, and cosmetology.

The student population that MTI College serves includes the community of recent high school graduates and adult learners in the greater Sacramento area who demonstrate the potential to benefit from the institution's educational vocational programs.

From its beginning, MTI established itself as Sacramento's best vocational college and the area's leader in training individuals for good jobs. No other area college has experienced the achievements that are common to MTI -- from being voted the area's Best Vocational College, to being one of a select few colleges nationally to have earned ABA Approval for its paralegal program. Philosophy

The specific objectives that address the institution's mission are as follows:

• To equip students with the practical and technical skills required by the business and technical communities;
• To provide students with the breadth of knowledge and analytical skills needed for advancement in the vocational and professional arenas.

MTI fulfills its mission, goals, and objectives with a two-year Associate in Arts degree in Paralegal Studies and Associate of Applied Science degree options in Business Administration and Microsoft Systems Engineer. Additionally, the college offers the following short-term diploma programs: Computer Support Specialist, Microsoft Systems Engineer, Accounting Technician, Business Support Specialist, Legal Office Specialist, Medical Assisting, Medical Office Specialist, and Cosmetology.

In support of its mission, MTI allocates the following resources:

Where applicable MTI classes simulate actual job conditions. Course lengths are determined on the basis of the time required to prepare the average individual for a given job. Course standards are determined through constant attention to local area employers' needs.
